The term “boudoir”, in days gone by, referred to the private dressing and bathing room of a woman. It is derived from a French verb whose root word means, “ to pout”. “Boudoir Photography” describes a revealing style of photography that may imply nudity but in which the subject is typically wearing under garments. The apparrel chosen may be simple to eleborate, scantily clad to fully dressed. While the pose and attire of the subject are instrumental in capturing interest and imagination, it is the expertise and direction of the photographer that composes the exquisitely compelling image.  The creativity, vision and tone or styles of expression of the photographer are important in achieving the subjects desired intention. Typically, in recent years, women of all ages have sought this type of photography as a gift for that special someone.
